Hi everyone, I'm Tracy, and I’m excited to introduce you to EdgeHub. EdgeSync 360 / EdgeHub is a comprehensive IoT device management and provisioning service designed to streamline the management of large-scale connected devices in industrial environments. We will help you understand the key points as follows: • What is EdgeSync 360 • EdgeHub value proposition • Case study and user value • Core features of EdgeHub • Getting started with EdgeHub Let’s start by EdgeSync 360. It is a suite of software products that facilitate connectivity, deployment, and data ingestion for IoT devices. They are designed to augment industrial IoT applications with key features such as: • Intelligent Agent • Edge to Cloud Connectivity • Data Visualization & Analysis • Advanced IoT Security EdgeSync 360 consists of four main components: • WebAccess, which provides real-time monitoring of industrial processes and device performance, supports over 450 controllers and devices for data collection and analysis. • EdgeLink, an edge connectivity solution supporting over 200 drivers and multiple protocols, unifies data sources for high data availability and optimized efficiency. • DeviceOn enables remote management of AIoT devices across platforms, and monitoring AI applications from cloud to edge. • And finally, EdgeHub, an edge intelligence enabler, offers integrated device management services that streamline provisioning, connectivity, remote configuration and data forwarding, ensuring seamless edge to cloud operations. Now, let’s talk about an important trend in the IoT market: the convergence of IT and OT systems. Traditionally, the market was OT-focused, with products tailored for specific industries, emphasizing operational stability. This situation often leads to limited flexibility and complex integration. However, we are now seeing a shift towards a combined OT and IT approach, offering more flexible designs and faster product iterations. This is where EdgeHub comes in. EdgeHub supports industrial automation by enabling edge device adaptability for diverse operational scenarios. The key features include automated onboarding, remote configuration and deployment, seamless connectivity, enhanced IoT security and integrated data and services. With this structure, EdgeHub empowers hardware business by boosting business competitiveness, unlocking new revenue stream and increasing customer retention. Let me share a real-world example of how EdgeHub is making a difference. We have a partner in Singapore using EdgeHub to manage solar farms distributed across Southeast Asia. At each farm, data from inverters, solar irradiance and power meters is collected through ECU gateways and uploaded to EdgeHub for centralized management. By integrating EdgeHub with their management scenarios and expertise, they have developed advanced applications for power billing, facility maintenance, and power output optimization. This has significantly reduced their operational costs and increased competitiveness. Through EdgeHub SaaS service, our partner can seamlessly interact with ECU gateways installed at distributed solar farms. Operators can monitor device status in real-time and update EdgeLink project files and firmware across multiple devices. This remote access drastically reduces maintenance costs. Moreover, our partner has leveraged EdgeHub to develop a PV station management solution and an ESG green energy solution for their customers. These solutions provide real-time tracking of key indicators, fault detection, and valuable insights into energy production and sustainability metrics. For SI partners using Advantech hardware, EdgeHub offers numerous benefits. It provides a unified interface for connecting diverse devices and data streams to the cloud. Mass device onboarding is simplified, reducing deployment times and improving operational efficiency. Its scalable architecture can effortlessly manage large-scale deployments, allowing partners to meet growing customer demands. Let me highlight some key features of EdgeHub. Firstly, our onboarding service streamlines the process for Advantech IoT devices, lowering the usage threshold of EdgeHub. Secondly, the configuration and deployment service allows for remote updates of configuration files, firmware and application, as well as control over power on/off and reboot. Thirdly, the connectivity service provides comprehensive management of IP devices, LoRaWAN gateways and routers. Fourthly, the security service ensures robust protection for devices, users, communication and data. One standout feature is one-step device onboarding, which integrates with edge tools like ADAM utility and EdgeLink Studio. This allows users to bind ethernet based ADAM modules and ECU gateways to EdgeHub without interacting with the EdgeHub website. Once devices are bound, users can remotely access devices to change configuration and firmware across networks through the edge tool interfaces. For large-scale deployment, the massive onboarding simplifies registration process with a single device file. Take 500 ADAM modules as an example. Registering these devices traditionally takes about 4.5 hours. However, with this feature, the same 500 devices can be registered in just 15 minutes, boosting operational efficiency by 90%. EdgeHub also enables seamless monitoring and configuration of devices across different networks. Users can track device indicators in real-time and remotely control various functions. This capability reduces the need for on-site visits, lowers maintenance costs, and ensures continuous monitoring of device health. Security is crucial in the IoT, and EdgeHub ensures end-to-end security across devices, connections, and the cloud. We implement device authentication, encrypted communications and robust cloud security measures to protect devices and data at every level. For connection security, X.509 certificates and SSL/TLS guarantee secure data transmission channels. In terms of cloud security, EdgeHub employs key vault management to handle certificates and implements two-factor authentication, ensuring only authorized access to the cloud. EdgeHub aims to offer reliable connectivity service to enhance operational efficiency. It allows users to manage connections of IP devices, cellular routers and more, as well as interact with PLCs through ECU gateways. Alongside device management, EdgeHub has comprehensive data management capabilities, including event setting, data aggregation, custom calculators, data visualization and API integrations. It empowers businesses to gain deep operational insights, improve decision-making, and ensure seamless integration with third-party vertical solutions. EdgeHub is specially designed to manage Advantech industrial automation devices, such as WISE, ADAM and ECU series, as well as industrial PC, panel PC, embedded boards, and data from EdgeLink and WebAccess. Getting started with EdgeHub is simple. We offer two main types of licenses: device license for device management and parameter license for data management. With just one click, you can initiate your free trial with a quota of 5 devices and 100 parameters. If you need more capacity, you can easily subscribe for an additional quota on Marketplace.
