Revolutionizing Manufacturing with Edge Computing & AI: Advantech & Orange Business Partnership video

Orange is a very famous company because of our business in the telco space. We are global leader in the telco industry, and we are present in many countries. That's a very good asset we have, our expertise in telco, but Orange Group is very big. It's not only about the b to c market. It's also about the b to b market, where companies like Orange Business, where I'm working in, we have thirty thousand employees with very deep knowledge around IT, on the networks, on the cybersecurity, on cloud computing, and as well on data analytics and AI. That's why we are partnering with Advantech, that is a market leader in the edge computing area and in the industrial computers area. Why is this relevant for manufacturing companies or industrial companies? Because the world is changing. The change that happened in the last three years has been larger than we have seen in the last twenty years. Now all of us are talking about analytics, generative AI, sort of security on the OT space, five g. And another one that is very talked about, but not always deeply understood, ITOT convergence. That is where Advantech and Orange Business can support you succeed for increasing your competitive edge. We can see on the screen an overview on how we are supporting our customers in succeeding into the IT or T convergence. We have four main areas. The foundation, of course, is the hardware, the edge computing, the servers, where all the information is collected from, the sensors, having the right understanding how to collect the right information from a machine and selecting the right device for making it work. As well, of course, having the right computers for being able to process all the data and the right networking devices to be able to extract and to convert the data that we're going to send to our premises, our data centers, our cloud. Another important part of the work we are doing is on the IoT, IoT integration, where we connect different machines, different sensors, different devices in order to be able to have a proper structure to make sense out of the data that we are collecting. For that one, we are working with solutions like EdgeLink and like WebSCADA for making sense of this data. One layer higher and extracting more value from the data is around the visualization, the application layer, where InRange business will support integration, the customization, and the configuration of dashboards for overall equipment effectiveness, drift and maintenance, energy management that provides real life insights on what is happening in the factory floor in order to take better decisions. But our collaboration doesn't end here because as well, we support integration of some factory systems that could be the MES, SAP, ERPs, in order to, as well, integrate data from other systems that are maybe not deeply connected with the manufacturing process, maybe with sales, with logistics, warehouse management systems. And on top of that as well, we support in distracting value from new technologies like AI or generative AI, where we integrate the best in brief startups, solutions, algorithms to not only understand what is happening today, but as well what is going to happen in future in order to be able to take predictive measures. One of the applications that we are developing jointly is with the Copilot solutions to support understanding better and to get faster answers what is happening in the factory floor with solutions like OpenAI Co Pilot.
